At the November meeting of the Meath County Committee treasurer Brendan Dempsey reported that a grant of 200,000 euro from the Leinster Council for the Dunganny project had been approved.
Dempsey also stated that 500,000 euro has been promised by Croke Park for the same development.
The treasurer said that November is a very important month for fundraising with the car draw and the race day at Fairyhouse on the last day of the month. He urged clubs to sell tickets for the big draw and return them as soon as possible.
The top prize in the draw is a Toyota car with second prize a trip to the Aintree Grand National for two and the third prize is a trip for two to the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Dempsey said that tenders for the development at Dunganny are being reviewed, saying there is a difference of 600,000 euro between the highest and lowest figures submitted.
