Busy weekends for Kelly Gorman

Kilmessan's Kelly Gorman

It has been some year for Kilmessan camogie. Crowned Meath senior champions yet again and last Sunday they picked up the Leinster Junior crown for the second time in the clubs history.

The team is awash with experience and youth but when it comes to scoring one player has stood out above all others for the senior and minors over the past three weekends.

Corner forward Kelly Gorman has been clocking up some scores for the Kilmessan girls. In the Leinster club semi final win over favourites Johnstownbridge Kelly hit a crucial 2-3 and the following day showing no ill effects from that brilliant display scored 4-1 for the clubs minor team in their 7-6 to 1-1 win over Na Fianna.

Fast forward to last weekends Leinster final win and young Kelly was at it again. She scored 0-5 in that emphatic win over Donard Glen at Edenderry and the following day, Bank Holiday Monday, fresh from her Leinster final display hit 2-2 for the clubs minors in their second round defeat of Boardsmill/Killyon. Kelly who was deployed in the full forward line on her own at times had to face three markers.
