Summerhill left themselves with too much to do in the second half as they exited the MFC Division 1 at the semi-final stage on Friday night in Navan.
St Colmcilles dominated the first 30 minutes and lead by nine points at the break, 1-7 to 0-1. Conor Lyons got Summerhill's solitary point in the first half.
Summerhill were a different team after the break and posted 1-9 in the second half. Corner forward Cathal Ryan was the Summerhill goalscorer.
However, St Colmcilles were able to weather the Summerhill second half storm and held out for a three point win. They will now face St Peter's, Dunboyne in the final.
