U21 FC: Winning start for St Ultans

St Ultans got their U21 campaign off to a winning start with a well deserved victory over Oldcastle. The game was played in very sunny conditions in Drumbaragh on Sunday morning.

Oldcastle got off to a perfect start with a goal in the first minute. Ultans then settled and were driven in with points from man of match Mark Allen.  

Goalkeeper, Cian Farnan was also pivotal in first half revival, scoring 2 fine points from 45's. He also took another 45 short, which was fisted excellently by midfielder Sean Power to Allen for Ultans first goal.

St Ultans started the second half brightly and added further points from Allen, Emmet Costello and Tony Smyth.  Ultans worked a further goal after excellent work by midfielder Ronan Galligan who passed to Sean Power to palm to the net.

Ultans debutants Luke O'Reilly, Martin Dolan and Eoin Mcloughlin all had very fine games along with Mark Allen & Jack Murray. It was an all round very good team performance with tougher challenges to lie ahead.
