Nobber claimed the O'Reilly & Co Solicitors sponsored Meath Under 17 Division 6 title with a one side win over Clonard Longwood in ideal conditions last night at Pairc Tailteann.

The win was inspired by the performances of Sam Ogungbe and Aidan Shields. Between them they accounted for 3-9 of their teams total.
The opening ten minutes was all one way traffic towards the amalgamation goal. Shields had registered 1-1, Ogungbe 1-2 and Ryan Smith Hughes 1-0 as Nobber raced into a twelve point lead. Half back Paul Gill kicked a point for Clonard / Longwood but Nobber went on another scoring burst. Ben Sheridan hit 1-1 and another 1-2 from Ogungby. A brace of points from Aaron Duff left Clonard / Longwood 5-8 to 0-3 in arrears at the break.
Shields, Ogungby and Shannon Smith kicked three early points for the winners and for the rest of the game Nobber where in cruise control. Dylan Shannon Smith got in for a goal to put the issue beyond doubt after twenty minutes. Clonard / Longwood finished the with points from Evan Coyle and Niall Mulvey.
After the game Pat O'Reilly (sponsor) and John Kavanagh Meath Minor Board Chairman presented the U17 Division 6 shield to Nobber captain Sam Ogungby.
