Hurling chairman Dom Reilly reported that Paddy Kelly of Kiltale is the only person nominated for the position of Meath senior team manager at the September meeting of the County Committee on Monday night.

Kelly will be interviewed shortly as the process of finding a replacement for Cillian Farrell gains momentum.

Meanwhile under-18 chairman John Kavanagh expressed disappointment at Nenagh being again chosen as the venue for the All-Ireland minor hurling B against Kerry next Saturday.

Kavanagh said the facilities for a similar fixture in the Tipperary grounds last year were very unsatisfactory with no PA in operation and the cup presented out on the pitch.

He expressed the wish that the team lists and other relevant information will be called out this time and that will be a proper presentation area.
