IHC: Kilskyre reach knock-out stages

Kilskyre move into the knockout stages of the Intermediate Hurling Championship after a comfortable win over Kilmessan in Trim on Sunday morning. 

The winners were in control from the throw in to the final whistle and raced into an early lead with some fine scores both  from play and placed balls.  Derek Muldoon never missed one placed ball with an exibition of free taking and Tom Shine putting over 1-3 in the first half, they had Kilmessan out of sight at half time with a lead of Kilskyre 1-9 to Kilmessan 0-2.

The second half was much the same with Kilskyre in control, with Gary Reilly, Charles Brogan and Seanie Geraghty all notching over some superb scores the points were in the bag long before the final whistle.  Some other fine preformances from Thomas Short, Jonathan O'Reilly, James O'Higgins and Thomas Nugent in defence, Peadar Byrne and Colm Mallon in midfield, Tom Shine, Simon Deevey, Gary Reilly and Seanie Geraghty up front.
