Dunshaughlin's Ulick McDonnell

The numbers drawn in the Dunshaughlin GAA lotto were 8,10,21 7 26 and there was no winner of our Jackpot or any match 3 winners.

We have had a busy last few days with our junior teams playing out their last remaining matches of the championship and league while our Seniors were also on action on Sunday . On Friday our Junior A team in a high scoring contest managed a draw with neighbours Kilbride while our Seniors recorded their first win  of the campaign with four points to spare over Walterstown.

On Monday evening our Div 4 team 'The Hardy Bucks' finished their league campaign had a fantastic 9 point win over Simonstown. It was a match filled with drama that seen player manager Ulick McDonnell line out in unfamiliar territory at wing forward with McDonnell giving a P.J Gillic type performance to score a fortuitous goal. Ulick was unavailable to comment on his intentions to play next year but his agent said he will take time out to reflect over the next few months. James Rattigan has once again secured the honour as club top scorer for the fourth year running with an impressive 2-06 while young Seamus Doyle caught the eye with a stellar performance.

Last night up in Paddy Ward country in Kells our Div 1 B League team were in action in their last league game of the year. Despite starting the game with 14 players which seen manager Graham Dowd making a cameo performance to make up the full team. The 6 backs defended heroically with Ken McTigue leading the way at full back. In midfield Jack Crimmons put in a great shift and kicked two beautiful long range scores while James Rattigan, Niall Byrne and the evergreen Brendan Duggan were a constant thorn in the Gaeil Colmcille side that saw that lads run out comfortable winners.
