Meath Community Organisation of the Year, St Colmcilles GAA Bettystown Co Meath who are also one of 16 pilot clubs for the GAA's Healthy Club project have the honour of launching the "Men on the Move" project in association with Meath Local Sports Partnership and the HSE next week
"Men on the Move" is aimed at men in community aged 30 and over to get them active, have fun and improve fitness levels. It will offer men a variety of activities throughout this new project involving weekly activity sessions which are tutor lead. You don't need to be fit to take part- the training sessions are structured so that you can find the level appropriate for you to join and progress your fitness at a pace to suit you.
St Colmcilles has been chosen to launch the initiative and host the first Information evening on Monday 25th August at 7.30pm in their clubhouse in Piltown, Bettystown. Further information evenings are in Dunshaughlin: Tuesday 26th August at 7.30pm in Dunshaughlin Community Centre and on Wednesday 27th August at 8.30pm in Kiltale GAA.
The information evenings will outline what the Men on the Move activity programme involves and also includes a FREE health check for men so call into any of the above venues for your health check or just a chat about your health.
St Colmcilles are inviting all its members, supporters and anyone with an interest in Men's Health to come along on Monday in their clubhouse in Piltown at 19:30 to hear more.
