Already relegated Summerhill finished their B League Division 1 campaign with a home win over Skryne.

The first half was 13-a-side which the travelling team edged by a point, 0-5 to 0-4.

After the break the match became 15-a-side with Declan and Conor Lyons being introduced for Summerhill at half-back and half-forward respectively.

Three substitutes made an impression for the winners. Ross Tallon, Cathal Ryan and Michael Gorman all scored a point each which proved vital as three points was the difference between the sides at the end.

Summerhill's second team will play their third game in the space of a week next Sunday evening. They face Simonstown Gaels in Brews Hill, Navan in the Junior A Championship preliminary quarter-final.
