Donaghmore Ashbourne qualified for the Junior Championship final on Sunday, August 24th following this terrific win against Trim.
Playing with a strong wind in the first half the girls took a commanding 3-8 to 1-1 lead in to the half time break. This set them up for a battling second half in which the Trim team threw everything at the Donaghmore Ashbourne girls in the first ten minutes but the resolve of the home team held firm and eventually saw them hold out for a 6-11 to 2-2 win.
Best for the home team were Lizzy Lynch, Roisin Williams, Colleen Williams, Emma Tormey & Maggie Randle.
The final is fixed for 3pm in Dunboyne against Drumree on Sunday 24th August. All support greatly appreciated as the girls try to make an immediate return to the intermediate ranks.
