A five star performance from Jack Regan saw Kiltale progress to div 1 league semi-final at expense of great rivals Kilmessan.

This game provided great entertainment going to extra time to get a result.

Kiltale with a very young team missing 10 of their possible starting 15 witnessed their young players showing great character to play their part in a epic drama.

Jack Regan's tally of 1g 17pts had to be seen to be believed with some unbelievable frees from back behind his own half back line.

17 year Twins Ronan and Ross Ryan both corner forwards were a constant threat to the Kilmessan rearguard and Ronan notched up two goals one very important one in extra time.

Ollie Regan brought off a string of grat saves and although Kiltale lost Padraig Donoghue at half time with a bad head injury he had a good replacement in Cathal Sheridan who along with Anthony Donnelly and David Kane formed a good back line and kept Kilmessan attack at bay for long periods.

Young Conor Shiren along with Padraig Kelly and Stephen Donoghue dominated along the half back line and provided the forwards with plenty of good ball.

County corner back David Donoghue foprmed a strong midfield partnership with the outstanding Eamon Ryan.

Up front Jack Regan was greatly assisted by the twins Ronan and Ross and the hardworking Steven Cummins and young Shane Lenihan and Ferghal Mc Cabe.
