Bective 1-8
Drumconrath 0-6

Drumconrath severed up probably their worst performance of the year when going under to the home side on Sunday. Drums came into the game knowing that should results go against them they would be looking relegation straight in the face.

Rumors floated around Bective that Ballivor did not travel and as these rumors proved true Drumconrath avoided the trap door but this performance will worry Tom Smyths men as the momentum built up over the past few weeks came to a grinding halt.

Bective knowing a win was the only way the could avoid relegation opened well with a point from the throw in but amazingly that was the only score of the 1st quarter. Bective finally got another point on 16 minutes as Jamie Myles finally opened the visitors account after 20 minutes.

The last 5 minutes of the half produced a better return with Bective getting 1-3 including a couple of good points from Paul McCabe while Derek Duff pointed a free for Drumconrath and Myles managed another point as the half ended Bective ahead 1-5 to 0-3.

The 2nd half was even poorer with Bective again pointing within a minute. Duff pointed frees on 35 and 46 minutes as Bective added another on 47.

Each side pointed again in injury time with Myles again on target as the Referee put both sets of supporters out of their agony by blowing the final whistle as Bective's followers a little happier with the win and Drumconrath's also relieved with the news they stay in Division 3.
