JFC C: Simonstown best St Ultan's

Simonstown progressed to the semi-final of the Junior C championship after registering a 2-11 to 1-9 victory over St. Ultan's in Kilberry on Thursday night.

Simonstown started brightly and despite some near goal misses, lead comfortably by 1-8 to 0-2 at half-time. Brendan O'Donnell and Ciarán O'Reilly impressed at midfield, whilst Brian McGrath and David Gormley lead the attacking threat.

St. Ultan's rallied in the second-half but Simonstown were resilient and defended well. Daniel Byrne, Ronan Smyth and Dean Curran showed up well in the Simonstown back line. Brian Brady and Ben Hoey also impressed throughout for the team in sky blue.
