FL Div 4: Mary's promoted while Curraha have to wait

St Marys earned promotation to  Div 3 and at the same time left Currahas hopes  in the hands of others, last night in Curraha. Curraha were faster out of the blocks and led 1-2 to a single point after 10 minutes, the goal coming from Danny Battersby as he reacted quickly after the ball had come back of the upright. However St Marys gradually got on top and at half time led 0-9 to 1-3.

Curraha had most of the possession in the second half but a succession of wides left St Marys run out winners by 2-10 to 1-7.

St Marys Maintained there unbeaten run to 9 games in Division 4 of the A league With this hard fought win against East Meath Neigbours Curraha on a warm tueday evening in Curraha.

Curraha were faster out of the blocks and led 1-2 to a single point after 10 minutes,but points from Stephen Bishop,Robbie Callaghan and Cormac drew sent the men from Donore/Rossnaree Parish in leading at half time 0-09 to 1-03.

Curraha staged a come back in the second half to leave the minimum between the teams with 10 ten minutes remaining but St Marys hard work and determination paid off with Goals from Cormac Drew and Luke Suillivan to seal victory for st marys and earn promotion to Division 3 next year for the men wearing red and green of St Marys.
