St. Michaels minors had it all their own way running out comprehensive winners over Jenkinstown Gaels on Easter Monday morning in Carlanstown.
A strong cross wind made passing and score taking difficult with just two points apiece being registered in the opening quarter, however St. Michaels adapted best to the windy conditions and registered 3-3 in the second quarter to lead 3-5 to 0-2 at the break. Matthew Halpin, Ray Reilly and Luke Moran bagged a goal apiece, while Oran Meehan 0-4 and Lee Morris 0-1 were the other first half scorers for St. Michaels.

The home side resumed control following the break and points from Ben Tobin 0-2, and one apiece from Lee Morris, Oran Meehan, Shane McDonnell Caolan McConnell and Shane McCormack put the game beyond Jenkinstown Gaels reach, the visitors registered 2 second half points in the 14th and 23rd minute and their goal came on 28 minutes. Along with the scorers Adam & Thomas O'Brien, Christopher Drew, Alan Reilly, Michael Dunne & Craig McGivern were others who played well for St. Michaels.
