A word of thanks from the ladies

April 14, 2014
People all across County Meath joined together on Saturday to raise money for Meath Ladies football by taking part in a sponsored walk. Approximately 350 people took to the track at Fairyhouse Racecourse to take part in a 6km walk in order to raise funds for the Meath teams across the board. In attendance were five of the county men's team along with the winning Loreto Navan captains Kelly Harris and Aisling Cassidy, fresh from their All Ireland schools victory a week ago showing off their prestigious Leinster and All Ireland trophies.

On the day Emily Leahy was presented with a fabulous award of two premium tickets for this year's Leinster Final for collecting the most money on her sponsorship card. Meath players Shaun Curran, Bryan Menton, Andrew Tormey, Eamonn Walace and Bryan McMahon attended the event to present Emily with her award for her commitment to raising the most money. It was a very successful day for everyone involved with proceeds going towards Meath ladies football teams to help pay for buses, referee's and venues to name just a few things.

The Meath county board would like to thank everyone for their participation and sponsorship and look forward to everyone's continued support throughout the year.
