U14: late goals seal title for Moynalvey

In an exciting and highly entertaining U-14 final played in Simonstownon Saturday evening April 12th late goals from Ciaran Harnan and Paul Corcoran turned the game in Moynalvey's favour.

Moynalty were in control for long periods with the brilliant Bryan McCormack and Conor O Reilly dominant at midfield with good saves from the excellent David Brennan keeping Moynalvey in the game. An excellent long range point from Ross Jackson just before half time reduced the Moynalty advantage to four points at half time.

Against the breeze in the second half Moynalvey pushed forward with Caragh O Brien and Thomas McCabe leading the revival. Moynalty led by Kyle Cussen continued to pick off nice points but two goals by the excellent Harnan kept Moynalvey in touch as the game entered its final minutes with Moynalty holding a two point advantage. Excellent work by Michael Voyles and Rob Keane setup the attacks leading to the late crucial scores in a dramatically exciting finish.

Jordan McMahon, Evan Clarke and Ryan Sinnott in defence and Adam Rooney, Cillian McCabe and Eoghan Murphy in attack also excelled for Moynalvey,.
