Donaghmore Ashbourne - Under 14 Division 2 champions
Donaghmore/Ashbourne captured the U14 Div 2 League title with a 3 - 15 to 3 - 7 win over Walterstown in the Final played at Skryne on Saturday last.

The winners with the advantage of a strong breeze lead at half time by 2 - 7 to 0 - 4 with the goals scored by Adam Brady and Dean Moran. Early in the second half the in-form Mikey Farrell added a third goal and it looked as if Don/Ash might run away with the game as they at one stage led by 15 points. Walterstown then started to play their way back into the game cutting the deficit to 6 points, however the defence stood strong and points from Farrell and Darragh O'Sullivan helped Don/Ash to an 8 point victory.

In defence the stand-out players were Joe Magee, Karl Cassidy and Josh Walters, Chris Twomey and Carl Nulty worked their socks off in midfield while up front Mikey Farrell who finished with 1 - 5 from play and Luke Cooley ( 0 - 3 ) were a constant threat. Overall it was a fantastic team preformance with everyone playing their part.

After the game Ciaran Flynn ( Meath Juvenile Board Chairman ) presented the trophy to Don/Ash Captain Chris Twomey.
