Stephen Rochford thought his Mayo players coped well with the huge expectations on their shoulders going into today's penultimate stage clash with Tipperary.

"Expectation is something that is borne out of the ambition within the group. I thought we managed that well," the victorious manager said to RTE's 'The Sunday Game'.

"Although we were slow to start, I thought we came well in to the game and hit a right purple patch just before half-time."

Next up is a final date with Dublin or Kerry on Sunday, September 18th...

"We've got a busy week coming up. There is club championship scheduled in Mayo next week, lads going back to their clubs.

"We'll start getting our heads down from tomorrow morning around preparing.

"Let Dublin and Kerry look after themselves. No doubt they'll go hammer and tongs at it next week."
