Mayo dual star Keith Higgins is expected to line out for the county's hurlers against Tyrone in the Nicky Rackard Cup this weekend.

Higgins has struggled with injuries so far this year, but he has been back in full training for a number of weeks now and is set to line out with the hurlers.

Mayo will be bidding to make a quick return to the Christy Ring Cup and having Higgins available to them is a massive boost to their chances.

And Mayo manager JP Coen admitted to the Mayo News that nothing but a win would be satisfactory in Carrickmore on Saturday afternoon.

"We'd be disappointed if we lose this game," said Coen. "We're aiming to win this game. Our focus at the beginning of the year was to do very well in the league, avoid relegation and to win the championship.

"And that hasn't changed. That's still our focus, and that would be our goal, and Tyrone is the first step to that. Hopefully, we'll get the result there and move on."
