Barry Moran insists there's no cause for panic in the Mayo dressing room following the Connacht champions' nine-point defeat to Cork last Sunday.

New manager Stephen Rochford has had to work with a largely depleted panel since the start of the new season and Moran, who is currently club tied with commitments to his native Castlebar Mitchels ahead of their All-Ireland club SFC semi-final showdown with Crossmaglen, says that the group are calm ahead of Dublin's visit to Castlebar this Saturday for Round Two of the National League.

"You don't want to come down and ship a hiding, as Dublin gave us last year," he told the Irish Independent.

"But, then you have to look at it too, the facts are we are a couple of weeks later getting back to training than we were in previous years. We are down a good few players.

"So, we have a tough challenge this Saturday against the Dubs and whatever happens, happens. I don't think we will be too fazed.

"You saw what happened last March against Dublin and then you saw the two games in August. They are completely different and, as long as people realise that and don't overreact to results, we'll be fine I think."

Throw-in for Saturday night's game at McHale Park is at 7pm.
