Cork's Ashling Thompson celebrates with supporters after game. INPHO

"We never threw in the towel and that's the difference between Cork camogie and anyone else. When the going gets tough, who's going to throw the towel in first and that certainly wasn't us, so we got the result we wanted today."

Cork captain Ashling Thompson revealed the secrets of their success following their 1-13 to 0-9 All-Ireland senior camogie final victory over Galway.

"I didn't see that coming - I was quite wary of Wexford."

The ease at which Limerick disposed of the Wexford challenge in the All-Ireland U-21 HC final came as a surprise to victorious manager John Kiely.

"Maybe the standard in Leinster and the standard of Antrim wasn't enough for us to prepare for a final."

Model County captain Eoin Conroy admitted they couldn't match the intensity that the Treaty County brought to the Semple Stadium clash.

"Everybody knows everybody in Wicklow hurling. It's a small little community. We nearly know what we've had for breakfast!"

Jonathan 'Bosco' O'Neill masterminded Wicklow's All-Ireland U-21 'B' hurling final victory over Meath.

"It hasn't been mentioned. I suppose in our situation down here, we are expected to win the All-Ireland every year and if you're not doing it it's a failure."

Kerry aren't getting distracted by talk of back-to-back Sam Maguire triumphs according to selector Diarmuid Murphy.

"You can't buy those type of games or atmospheres or tests, both mentally and physically. I would hope that would help them hit the ground running going into the final."

Dublin selector Declan Darcy thinks their two games against Mayo will stand to them next Sunday.
