Connacht GAA: Keith helps Wheelchair Hurlers

Keith Higgins (Middle back row) is pictured with the Connacht GAA wheelchair hurlers, mentors and parents after training in Barnacarroll Hall recently.

The Connacht GAA Wheelchair Hurlers were in Barnacarroll Hall near Claremorris recently in preparation for their upcoming Interpro National League event in Carlow on Saturday 29th of August.

The Connacht side were helped on the day by Mayo dual star Keith Higgins - who took time out of his busy schedule to help the Connacht side in their preparations. The Connacht side will play Ulster, Leinster and Munster on the day in Carlow.

After the event Denis OBoyle (Connacht GAA -  Sport for All Officer) thanked Keith for giving his time to work with the players on the day, and wished Keith and his Mayo colleagues the best of luck in Croke Park next weekend.

In conclusion, the Mayo football captain 'Wished the Connacht side well at their Interpro event in Carlow - and was surprised by the high level of teamplay and skill level built up by the Connacht side over the past few years'.
