Mayo's Mickey Conroy has been ruled out for the remainder of the year after suffering a shoulder injury while on club duty.
The experienced attacker was forced to retire after only 10 minutes of Davitt's senior league defeat to Ballintubber at the weekend, and confirmed on twitter today that his season is over. Conroy was an unused sub in Mayo's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final win over Donegal, but had been hoping to make an appearance against Dublin on Sunday week.
Mayo also have injury concerns over goalkeeper David Clarke and defender Tom Cunniffe ahead of the eagerly-awaited All-Ireland semi-final.
Disappointing weekend. Another injury that ends 2015 for me. Will be supporting from the stands. #suchislife
