Mayo forward Mark Ronaldson was delighted to play his part in the Connacht SFC semi final win over Galway after four years away from the squad.

Ronaldson was introduced as a second half substitute where he preceded to kick a point and win possession of the ball at crucial stages.

The Shrule/Glencorrib clubman admitted that he was nervous coming back into the fray, but he stressed to the Western People that he was keen to make the most of his opportunity.

"I was happy enough with my own game, obviously it's nice to get on the scoreboard," said Ronaldson. It was kind of nerve wrecking for me because I've been away from this panel for four years and they been four incredibly successful for the boys.

"So obviously there's pressure on when you come into a panel like that. But I was glad to get playing and glad to get the win."
