Mayo's Colm Boyle has reacted angrily to Stephen Hunt's claim that GAA players would struggle in the Premier League.

Writing in the Sunday Independent, the Ipswich Town and Republic of Ireland star stated: "As somebody who grew up in the GAA, I can tell you that, as much as I love the games, if GAA players tried to live with the level of commitment shown by a professional footballer, they wouldn't know what hit them."

Unsurprisingly, Hunt's comments haven't gone down well in GAA circles and Boyle - who didn't look out of place against the professionals of the AFL last weekend - is just one of many to have taken exception to them.
