Ballintubber joint-manager Tony Duffy has revealed that the players are eager to impress in the Connacht club SFC.

Having defeated Castlebar Mitchels in the county final, Ballintubber can now turn their attention to the provincial campaign and a tough semi-final meeting with an experienced St Brigid's side who won the All-Ireland club title in 2013.

The Mayo champions will have to be at their best to get over this hurdle, but Duffy explained to the Western People that the squad have been preparing well for the game.

"They're hugely determined to have a real cut at the Connacht championship and they've been flying since the county final," said Duffy.

"We beat a very good Castlebar team in that and are now determined to give it our best shot in the provincial series."
