Mayo manager James Horan has stressed that they want for nothing from the county board.

The Mayo County Board's finances have come under close scrutiny since their Connacht SFC opener stateside against New York and especially the expenses that the players received.

However, Horan stressed to the Western People that since he took on the role as manager, he has had no problems with the County Board.

"I've been in this job for four years and to be honest the players and management team haven't wanted for anything from the county board," said Horan.

"No more than some of the management team, they get a lot of flack and a lot of abuse. We've had our ups and downs for sure but overall we've worked very well together.

"Vincent Neary has come in this year and been exceptional in his role and has worked very well with us, so overall we're happy with the county board, which is crucially important. Everyone has to be pointing the one way for a team to be successful and we're getting there."
