Championship: Well what can I say, what a performance, champions again and even better when nobody but our self's thought we could do it. From 1 to 16 all the players were excellent and can be proud of their achievements in Dunleer on Sunday and so to the management for getting their game plan spot on for the day. Congratulations to all, the club are now back in the senior championship next season and will also play Kilbride from Carlow in the Leinster Club Championship on Saturday 21st October. Thank you to all our sponsors on Sunday, Martin Molloy for the food in the clubrooms, Joes Shop for the soup and sandwiches after training, Bells Shop for the breakfast rolls Monday morning, all the bar staff and the girls who helped out in the function room, big Jim and Jim Byrne who made sure things ran smoothly on the night. If I left anyone out please accept my apologies.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 11th October at 8.00pm, jackpot €1,100 in 48 numbers.

Under 14: Our under 14's will play in the quarter final of the championship tomorrow night in Darver at 6.45pm and if they win they will play in the semi-final on Friday night also in Darver.

Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Saturday 21st October in our clubrooms from 9.00pm, music by Brian McDermott, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.

Fund: The bursary scheme in memory of the late Charlie McAllister is administered by Louth County Board. Bursaries will be awarded to three males and three females who are attending a full-time Higher Education course. Applicants must: Be attending a full-time course at a University or Third Level College. Be in their first year of study at one of the above. Not be in receipt of any other Bursary/Scholarship or Sports Academy Scholarships. Be an active member of their local club in Louth. The value of the bursary will be €1,000. Each bursary will be paid in 2 instalments each year, November & February. Bursaries are for one year only and not renewable. Bursary applications will be reviewed by a Bursary sub-committee. Responsibility for awarding Bursaries rests with the sub-committee. Applicants are requested to complete the Bursary Application Form on the Louth GAA website and return it to the Secretary of the County Board before thec24th October 2017.
