Roche Emmets 2-11 St Patricks 1-6

On a dreadful night for football both teams served up an entertaining game with the reward a place in the Div 2 A league final.

The first half was a very evenly contested game with both defences on top and the visitors led by 0-5 points to 0-4 at half-time.

The second half it was the hosts who took a real grip of the game and with their overall team play being a joy to watch & with some fine point taking turned the half time deficit into a lead early in the second half a lead they were never to lose. They added 2-7 which included two very well taken goals and kept the Pats to 1-1 with their goal coming in injury time.

A win  Saturday evening for our minors Roche\St Brides away to Mattock\Hunterstown on a score line of 6-8 to 3-12. Well done lads.

Roche Emmets presents Lip Sync Battles, preparation is well under way for our fundraiser of the year. All participants have started rehearsing.  Tickets will be available from next week on.  Sponsorship welcome. Save the date,10th November 2017, Carrickdale Hotel.
