Dundalk Gaels club notes

March 23, 2017

Thanks to all club members and associates who helped with the recent flag day. It was an outstanding success, raising much-needed funds for club activities.

There was a fine turn-out of parents, children and mentors for last Thursday night's registration get-together in the clubrooms. All were welcomed by our chairman, Noel Connolly, who stressed the importance of having a solid underage structure. The nursery continues each Saturday evening.

A party of upwards on 40, comprising players, committee and supporters made the trip to Ennis for the weekend. There was a game with local team, Eire Og, on Saturday afternoon, followed by a meal. Then on Sunday, there was a stop-off at Thurles for Louth's league match with Tipperary. Our thanks to Eoin Doohan for organising the weekend.

There are slots available on our astro pitch schedule. Please contact Davy Ryan at 087-9046918.

The club was represented at the official opening of Dundalk CBS extension on Thursday last. We've had a closer association with the school over the years, and Principal, Michael Lambert, is a former player and committee-member.

The numbers drawn in last Tuesday night's lotto were, 15, 17, 25, 26. No jackpot winner. Five consolation prize winners: Rosemary, Nicholas Rafferty, Joe Mac, Tony Mulholland, Tom Duffy. Tonight's jackpot is €6,900. Lines available from any committee member.
