With three provincial finals and two Leinster semi-finals down for decision, we were spoilt for choice when it came to selecting our HS football team of the week...

1. Antoin McMullan (Slaughtneil)

With three minutes left on the clock Kilcoo came chasing a badly needed goal but McMullan came to Slaughtneil's rescue with a brilliant save to deny Eugene Branagan.

2. Eugene Branagan (Kilcoo)

Came out on top in his personal duel with Meehaul McGrath but that was scant consolation when the final whistle was sounded in the Athletic Grounds.

3. Brendan Rogers (Slaughtneil)

Not alone did he snuff out the significant threat posed by Kilcoo's Paul Devlin, the number three ventured forward to kick two inspirational points.

4. Liam Silke (Corofin)

The attack minded corner-back set up Michael Farragher for the Galway side's opening goal which left St Brigid's with a mountain to climb.

5. Ciaran McGrath (Corofin)

While his forward colleagues captured all the headlines, McGrath marshalled a superb defensive effort by the Galway champions.

6. Ger Brennan (St Vincent's)

Stuck like glue to Mullinalaghta playmaker James McGivney and more of the same will be expected when he lines up opposite Rhode's Niall McNamee in the provincial decider.

7. Chrissy McKaigue (Slaughtneil)

Used his experience to telling effect and got forward to fist a valuable point during the purple patch the Derry side enjoyed in the run up to half-time.

8. Patsy Bradley (Slaughtneil)

When the pressure came on in the second-half, the battle hardened midfielder rose to the occasion to stifle Kilcoo's efforts.

9. Shane Carthy (St Vincent's)

St Vincent's didn't have it all their own way in Longford and Carthy's return of 1-3 was vital in the finish up.

10. Shane McGuigan (Slaughtneil)

Took the scoring honours for the history makers and three of his five points came from play.

11. Niall McNamee (Rhode)

If Rhode are to finally break their Leinster final duck, they will need to have McNamee, who registered eight points yesterday, firing on all cylinders.

12. Daithi Casey (Dr Crokes)

A first-half Casey hat-trick turned the Munster Club SFC final into a procession and the half-forward chipped in with a two points for good measure.

13. Jason Leonard (Corofin)

Leonard enjoyed a day to remember when scoring 1-3 in the 14 point demolition of St Brigid's in Carrick-on-Shannon.

14. Michael Farragher (Corofin)

Along with Leonard, Dylan Wall and Micheal Lundy, Farragher led the St Brigid's defence a merry dance and finished with 1-2 to his credit.

15. Colm Cooper (Dr Crokes)

Just the two points from 'The Gooch' but his finger prints were all over many of the Killarney outfit's scores.
