Champ Playoff: We were relegated from the senior championship last Friday night in Darver after a ten point loss to St. Patricks. Although the score line does not suggest it we were still in this game going into the last quarter, the lads battled hard but ran out of steam going into the last 15 minutes. It's not been a great season on the adult playing field for the club with the senior side relegated from division one league and the senior championship and the division 5 team also relegated. Next year we will be in division two and the intermediated championship which are harder to win than where we have just been relegated from in my opinion, remember how long it took us to get up to senior? On Behalf of the club we would like to thank the players and manager Fergus Flynn, selectors Alan Brennan and Ian Sharkey and also Wayne Kierans, physio Robert Kearney and everyone else for their efforts this season and hope for better results on the playing fields next year.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 21st September at 8.00pm, jackpot €1,900 in 48 numbers.
Get Well: Best wishes and speedy recovery from all at the club to honorary president and trustee Peter Badger Bannon who is recovering from surgery at the moment.
Tickets: Winners of the All Ireland tickets were as follows, the winner of the one for those who attended the AGM was Brian Kearney and the one for the members was won by Niall Conlon. The winners of the fundraising draw were: 1st prize two All Ireland tickets and €100, Conor Culligan. 2nd prize €200 Anthony Agnew. 3rd prize €100 Thomas Faulkner. 4th prize €50 Bernie Agnew. 5th prize €50 David Downey. Thank you to all who supported the draw.
Blitz: Our under 7's had their last blitz of the year on Sunday morning, the club would like to thank their mentors for their time during the year and all would like to thank Joe's Shop Greengates for the refreshments supplied after the game.
Final: Good luck to O'Connell's member Wayne McKeever (manager) and our neighbours St. Josephs in the intermediated championship final in Dowdallshill next Sunday.
Champs: Congratulations to Stabannon Ladies and all the local girls involved on wining the county senior championship on Saturday evening.
