Kilkerley Emmets 2-11
St Patrick's 0-13

St Pats, the reigning county champions are out of this year's championship after going down by four points to Kilkerley in a hard fought battle in Dowdallshill on Sunday.

St Pat's have been a shadow of their former selves this season with the Lordship side barely surviving relegation but they went into this game with confidence having beaten the same opponents in a league match seven days previously.

However, they were dealt an early blow as Kilkerley scored the first goal of the game with Tadhg McEneaney finding the back of the net to give his side a 1-2 to 0-2 lead after fifteen minutes. A Sean Hand point put Kilkerley five points clear but Pats rallied late in the half and went in at the break just two points down thanks to scores from Aiden McCann, Eamonn Breen and Daniel O'Connor.

St Pats had a nightmare start to the second half conceding a second goal as Sean Hand scored for the Emmets. With ten minutes remaining Ray Finnegan made it a one point game as the veteran gave the champions hope with a well taken score.

That was as good as it got however for the Lordship men as Kilkerley finished strongly with two Shane Lennon frees and a Tadhg McEneaney point sending the Emmets into a quarter final spot where they will play the Dreadnots.
