There was no jackpot winner in Naomh Fionnbarra G.F.C. and St. Anne's Camogie Club Lotto draw held on Wednesday 27th April. The winning numbers were 4, 16, 19 & 22. There were 3 match 3 winners Christy Mulroy, Togher Rd, Gerry Young, Drumcar and Leanne Sharkey, Strand Rd who won €50 each. Next weeks jackpot stays at €10,000, with the reserve jackpot rising to €8,650. Tickets are available from the usual local outlets, Lotto sellers and any committee member. Funds raised from our Lotto draw go towards the running of the club and your support is greatly appreciated.
Our Intermediate team were unlucky to draw with Dundalk Gaels 1-7(10) to 1-7(10) in the Division 2 League Round 4 on Tuesday 26th April. The next game is on Saturday 7th May v Clan na Gael at 7pm at John Markey Park.
Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-16 team recorded a good win over Glen Emmets 6-9(27) to 0-7(7) in the Division 3 League Round 2 on Friday 29th April.
Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire U-18 team recorded a good win over St. Nicholas 5-8(23) to 2-7(13) in the Division 3 League Round 4 also on Friday 29th April.
Our B team also fough out a 1-10(13) to 1-10(13) draw with Cooley Kickhams in the Division 4 League Round 3 on Sunday morning 1st May at John Markey Park, Ballygassan. The barrs had a 1-4(7) to 0-4(4) half time lead. The goal coming from Andy McCann after he brilliantly collected a sublime long ball in by Colin McGrane, turned and finished to the net. Cooley made a brighter start to the second half however the Barrs fought back and took a 1 point lead with less than a minute remaining only for Cooley to equalise. Louth GAA Kellogg's Cúl Camps 2016
Louth GAA Coaching & Games are looking for coaches for the Louth GAA Kellogg's Cúl Camps which will be taking place at various venues throughout the county this summer. We are looking for both lead coaches (18 years +) and assistant coaches (16/17 year olds). Coaches on the Kellogg's Cúl Camps should have at least completed a GAA Foundation Award and Code of Best Practice and be Garda Vetted whilst undertaking compulsory Cúl Camp Coaches training in late June as part of the programme. Those that have coached with us before need to resubmit all the relevant details again!! Standard Tax and PRSI rules will apply to all coaches.
In total there will be 31 camps in Louth this year and they commence on Monday 4th July and finish on Friday 19th August (total of Six weeks). People interested in coaching Gaelic Games and want to be part of the Louth GAA Summer Camps 2016 can download the application form from the county website. Application forms should be returned to [email protected] or posted to Francie McMullen, Louth GAA Centre of Excellence, Darver, Readypenny, Co. Louth. Closing date for all applications is Friday 20th May - Late applications or applications that do not meet the minimum criteria will not be accepted under any circumstances.
