Louth full back Paddy Reilly enjoyed Saturday's Division Four final victory over Antrim more than his previous appearance at Croke Park.

The Wee County were trounced by Kildare in the 2014 Leinster SFC, so for Reilly it was particularly pleasing to finish on the winning side at GAA HQ.

"The last time I was here against Kildare was a bit of a disaster so it's nice to get a win. I thought near the end it was going to be another loss but the lads dug in," the St Brides clubman told The Argus.

"It's a brilliant feeling considering where we were at half time. We were four points down and we really only played in fits and starts, but we knew we could get back into it if we played our football and took our chances.

"Hopefully it will give the whole county a lift. We've had two poor years with back-to-back relegations, so it should give the whole thing a lift. It's a big difference from last year and, when you're winning games, it breeds confidence."
