The Na Piarsaigh club in Dundalk & Friends will present 'A Night of Sport' in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk this Saturday.

The event, which is being organised by Na Piarsaigh's newly formed Underage Committee, will be a night of sports discussion with various well known faces from a variety of sports all of which are popular in our local community.  Jerome Quinn, formerly of BBC will M/C the event and we are delighted to have six great guests on the night.

The first panel includes former Irish Rugby International Shane Byrne, Dundalk FC captain Stephen O'Donnell and Carrickmacross native Christina McMahon who won the WBC Bantamweight title earlier this year.

The second panel, all of which will be GAA based will include Crossmaglen and Armagh legend Oisin McConville, Dublin hurler Ryan O'Dwyer and former Mayo star Conor Mortimer.

All six will speak about their careers and various topical issues at present.  They will also get the chance to preview the likes of the Rugby World Cup with Shane Byrne and our GAA panel will preview the All Ireland Hurling Final and the remainder of the Football Championships.

An auction of items will take place on the night with some interesting items from the various sports.  A signed Rugby World Cup jersey by Rob & Dave Kearney, Manchester United Champions League tickets with flights & accommodation and All Ireland Hurling tickets with accommodation that night are just three examples of the items.

All proceeds of the night will go towards underage football in the Na Piarsaigh club.  Anyone interested in any or all of the sports are invited come and join them, with food and music also provided on the night.
