The Dreadnots got the better start in Pairc Baile Fiach scoring 1-05 in the opening 10 minutes. It was Glen Mathews who got the home side on the scoreboard in the 13th minute, with a well taken point. Followed immediately by an Alan Landy goal. Things slowly started to improve for Hunterstown when they were awarded a penalty from a foul on Padraig Mathews, in the 15th minute. Alan Landy stepped up to take it, securing his 2nd goal of the match. Followed in quick succession by another Glen Mathews point, bringing the score to 2-02 to 1-05. Donovan Sheridan made a brilliant save in the 18th minute, only to be beaten a minute later. Padraig Mathews got Hunterstown's 3rd goal in the 23rd minute, making up for a missed opportunity in the opening seconds of the 1st half. Stuart Callan got his name on the scoreboard with a well-earned point, only to be cancelled out a minute later. The Dreadnots got the last score in the first half with a well executed point.

The Dreadnots got the scoring underway 2 minutes into the 2nd half, closely followed by a well taken Niall Carrie free. Donovan Sheridan continued to make some great saves keeping the home team in the game. Unfortunately he was beaten in the 16th minute when the Dreadnots broke through to their 3rd goal of the match. Hunterstown obtained another 2 points both of them coming from the boot of Glen Mathews, leaving the score at 3-06 to 3-12. Hunterstown and the Dreadnots exchanged points in the dying minutes, leaving the score at 3-07 to 3-13
