The Naomh Fionnbarra U11 team lined out on Saturday morning against Newtown Blues in what turned out to be a very lively match with high scoring on both sides. Aided by a few of the Naomh Fionnbarra U10's as well it was a very exciting match the final score in favor of the Blues 6-13 to 6-7. The high scoring was no poor reflection on either goalkeeper and for the Fionnbarrs Archie Carey performed incredibly well with numerous saves and showing no fear in the face of the oncoming Blues attackers. In backs Ronan McCreesh, Ciaran Murphy, Oran Clinton and Leo Kelly performed excellently. In the middle Liam Lowes played a stormer holding his ground against very tough opposition, Colm Smith had a fantastic game with excellent fielding dropping balls consistently into the forwards and Aaron Kearney covered serious ground fighting for every ball. The forward line of Jack Regan, Andrew Dunne and Rory Smith were kept busy as evidenced by the score line as well as a few that slipped astray due to the very small goalposts in use on the day. The lads although defeated on the day performed extremely well and have alot to be proud of.

Under 12 's V Wolfe Tones , Div 3.On a wet spring evening in Drogheda we met the Wolfe Tones for a Div 3 match. The rain poured all day and cleared eventually just as the game started.Conditions were terrible and we lost by 1 goal. Ryan, Killian, Siobhan, Cormac, Alex, Evan , Sophie, Adele ,The 2 Stephens and the 2 Conors all played their best .

On a very windy and sometime wet evening in Stabannon, the U-9's continued their good form in the latest Blitz. It was a very evenly balanced competition with O'Connells, Stabannon and Sean McDermotts providing the opposition.  First game was against the O'Connells and the wind made sure that this was a game of two halves. The first half was tightly contested and the Finbarrs went into the half time break 3-0 to 1-1 behind. However, with the wind on their backs, the Togher team blitzed the opposition scoring 2 goals and 6 pts without reply.  Second game was against the Sean McDermotts who boast a big side and talent across the pitch. The McDermotts started off strong and playing the aid of the strong breeze, went in 1-02 to no score at half time. The Barrs found their feet in the second half and managed 2 well taken points but eventually lost out on a scoreline of 1-03 to 0-02.  Final game of the evening was against hosts Stabannon and it was a lively affair from start to finish. Both sides fielded 11 players so the playing area was tight and the Finbarrs who were much more comfortable on the ball found it difficult to get the space to play their passing game. The Barrs led at half time 2-01 to 1-01 and finished the game comprehensive winners 4-02 to 1-03.  Excellent performances all round from the boys and girls. Playing for the Finbarrs were Ryan Healy, Ben Turley, Cormac McArdle, Cyal Callan, Eoin Holmes, Jack Murtagh, Aine Murray, Sean Boyle, Killian Nugent, George Bellew, Hannah Hanratty, Conan Corrigan, Thomas Woods and Harry Lowes.

U-16 League - Monday 11th May 2015 - in Clogherhead Naomh Fionnbarra/Lannleire 0-4(4) Dreadnots 8-17(41).  Disappointing result for the lads on Monday night against a good Dreadnots team, played in very wet and windy conditions in Clogherhead.  The home team built up a very commanding first half lead and never looked like they would let that slip in the second half as they controlled most of the game.  Our lads scored 4 points, and they were well worked scores and showed what we are capable off.  Luke O'Reilly, Dillon Dunne, Cian Clinton, Ciaran Boyle, C.J. Corentin, Padraig Kieran, Caomhin Maher, Adam Hanratty (0-1), Ciaran Dunne, Killian Gregory, Niall Woods (0-1), Josh Crosbie (0-1), Jack Kearney, Kian Callan, Darren Clinton, Tunjai, Jamie Kelly (0-1), Laurence Carrol, Adam Power
