'Twas like September all over again as we had repeats of both of last year's All-Ireland finals taking place this afternoon!

All-Ireland senior football champions Kerry welcomed Donegal to Tralee in Division One of the national football league, while hurling kingpins Kilkenny travelled to Thurles to face Tipperary in Division 1A of the NHL.

Between both codes, there were also another 23 matches taking place at venues around the country, on what must surely be the busiest senior intercounty day of the year.

Last weekend was an exceptional one for Cork and both their teams were in action again today: the footballers were away to Tyrone at Omagh and the hurlers faced an equally daunting task as they travelled to Salthill to meet Galway.

Those were just some of the stand-out encounters but every single game taking place today was vitally important. As ever, we were with you every kick, puck and catch of the way!
