Championship Draws: The draws for the county Louth football championships were made in Darver on Thursday night last and we were drawn in group 2 along with Sean O'Mahonys and Cooley Kickhams. The full draw was as follows Group 1. St. Marys, Naomh Mairtin, Dreadnots. Group 2. O'Connell's, Sean O'Mahonys, Cooley Kickhams. Group 3. Dundalk Gaels, Newtown Blues, Geraldines. Group 4. O'Raghallaighs, Mattock Rangers, St. Patricks.
National Club Draw: Over €2.02 million raised by clubs around the country, highest number of tickets sold by clubs, Na Fianna GAA club Dublin 1,694, Davitt's GAA club Mayo 1,629, Na Piarsaigh GAA club Limerick 1,600, these clubs raised over €16,000 each. Highest number of tickets sold by county, Dublin 18,343, Limerick 14,359 and Galway 12,412. The five €100 prizes won by those who bought tickets in our own club were Geraldine Hack promoter Brian Kearney, Mark McNamee promoter Mark McNamee, Mark McNamee promoter Mark McNamee, Seamus Cairns promoter Marion Conlon and Collette Woods promoter Jim Ryan. Thank you for your continued support.
Registration: The club will hold our juvenile registration day on Sunday 22nd March from 12.00am to1.00pm in our clubrooms. The fee for the year is €10 per child and 2 or more children €20. All children who intend to play for the club must be registered.
TV Show: Congratulations to our player Michéal Cairns who appeared on the million euro challenge show at the weekend and played his part in winning €123,000 for his 95 year old grandmother Kathleen, and might travel toll free for the rest of his college days. Nicky Byrne and Michéal on the same stage and on television, now there is a westlife moment?
Membership Fee: The membership fees for 2015 are as follows, adult €40, and juvenile 16 to 18 years of age €20 and pensioners 65 and over €20. The closing date for membership is 31st March; contact our membership officer David (Biscuit) Neasy 087-7552822.
Slimming World: Slimming World will be in our clubrooms every Monday from 7.00pm with consultant Kayleigh 087-061577.
