Under 21: Our under 21's got their campaign off to a winning start on Friday night in Monasterboice. Having got into the lead 1-2 to 0-1 after ten minutes the Mairtin's landed the next four points to level the game. But another goal and point saw us lead at the break by one point 2-3 to 0-8. Two more goals in the second half along with four points give the lads a seven point the victory although they were made fight all the way by the Mairtins never give up. Our next game will be away to Roche Emmett's in the quarter final.

AGM: Our annual general meeting will take place on Friday 5th December at 8.00pm, all members and intending members are asked to attend. Anyone wishing to have a copy of the treasurer's report before the night of the annual general meeting so as to study it and have your questions ready on the night can request a copy from any of the committee.
Manager: The process of getting a new manager for the 2015 season is well under way. We have a subcommittee who are already in contact with possible contenders and one could be in the position before the AGM or if not before in end of the year.
Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 3rd December at 8.00pm, jackpot €5,200 in 48 numbers. All welcome.
Leinster: Congratulations to the Sean O'Mahony's on winning the Leinster Intermediate Championship on Sunday, a great victory. Sure it's a grand old team to play for!
National Club Draw: O'Connell's tickets for the national club draw are now on sale, tickets cost €10 and all money made stays with the club. There are 15 top prizes and also every ticket bought will be entered into a special club draw for 5 x €100 prizes, tickets are available from any committee member and will also be available from some of our members after the AGM. Closing date for the draw is January 24th 2015. The 15 prizes range from, two trips with the 2015 all-stars, trip to New York, travel voucher worth €1500, 2 shopping vouchers each worth €1000 at retailer of your choice, 1 All-Ireland football & hurling finals corporate package that includes 2 nights hotel accommodation for both weekends and a range of other corporate final packages and also football and hurling final packages with overnight accommodation. But the main point of this draw is that all money from ticket sales remains with our club. Your support would be very much appreciated.
