This was a game played in Darver under the lights on Thursday evening last. St. Marys got off to a great start in the game with a goal coming from Darragh McConnon and points coming from Mark Fay and Brian McCoy. With 5 minutes until half time, this left St. Marys with a comfortable lead of 0-9 points. A determined Gers team kept going and scored a goal and a few points to lessen the margin to just 0-4 points at half time. The start of the second half saw the Gers persevere with their hard footballing and cut St. Marys lead down to 0-2 points, but the Gers were kept at bay with some good defensive play by St. Marys. St. Marys kept their hand in and scored a few more points before the final whistle leaving the full time score at 2-6 to 1-8.
