Naomh Fionbarra bounced back from the disappointment of losing their Junior Championship semi-final to record a convincing 5-20 to 0-3 win over John Mitchels on Friday night.

The win maintains their 100 per cent record in Division 3 after ten games and also sees them improve their score difference.

Bernard Osborne grabbed two first half goals, while William Woods added another to make it 3-7 to 0-1 at half time.

Osborne added his third goal after the break while Darren McConnon also hit the net to complete the victory.

Westerns kept the pressure on the Ballygassan side when they made it nine wins from nine games.

The Reaghstown men were also comfortable winners over St Nicholas on a scoreline of 4-10 to 0-6 after leading by 3-7 to 0-3 at half time.

Glen Emmets remain joint second without having to kick a ball as they were given a walk over by Cuchulainn Gaels on Sunday morning.

Lannleire boosted their hopes of making the play-off places with an impressive win over Sean McDermotts on Sunday morning.

Despite playing against the wind in the first half, the Dunleer men had the better of things and a Carlos Lambe goal helped them to lead by 1-5 to 0-3 at half time.

A Declan Carroll goal had the Seans back in contention but Paul Callan hit the net to put Lannleire back in control before Mark Dunne settled the issue with his side's third.

Meanwhile, Dowdallshill moved off the foot of the table with their first win of the season as they defeated St Kevins by 2-11 to 1-10 on Friday night.

Peter Hughes got the first goal for the Hill as his side trailed by just 1-6 to 1-5 at half time before Paul Gill found the net in the second period to help secure a four-point success.
