Glen Emmets Conor Grimes heads for the Sean McDermotts goal during the Louth JFC semi fnal

GLEN EMMETS 2-10
SEAN MCDERMOTTS 0-5

Glen Emmets eased into their third Junior Championship Final in four seasons when they proved too strong for Sean McDermotts at Stabannon on Sunday evening.

The Tullyallen did all the damage in the first half as goals from Mark Noone and Keith Rooney had them leading by ten points at the break. A rather lacklustre second half followed but the Seans were never in a position to threaten a comeback as the Emmets held out to earn a place in the decider.

The game began with Sean McDermotts taking the lead through Ian Corbally but the Tullyallen men took control with a goal and point from Mark Noone.

The Mountrush men remained in touch when trailing by just 1-3 to 0-3 after 20 minutes but the Emmets finished the half on top and a Keith Rooney goal has his side 2-7 to 0-3 ahead at the half time whistle.

The second half produced little in the way of entertainment and although the McDermotts tightened up at the back, they were unable to put any real pressure on a Glen Emmets side who comfortably held out for an eleven point win.
