O'Raghallaighs Club Notes

August 05, 2014
UNDER 16 LEAGUE FT : O RAGHS 3-12 GLEN EMMETS 6-6
It is rare that a team scores 3-12 in a game of football and does not win. Our game againts Glen Emmets entertained us by two hard working and skilful teams in end to end football. The Raghallaighs carried a four point lead into the half time break however a five minute spell at the beginning of the second half cost us the match. Whether it was a lack of concentration on our part or a massive push from the visitors, the 3-1 scored by the Emmets without any response from the Raghallaighs lads changed the course of the game. The result was in doubt to the final whistle after the Raghallaighs fought back to regain the lead with five minutes left to play. The final two scores, a goal and a point went to the Emmets who secured a hard earned away victory.
