Hotshot Clarke leading the way

July 24, 2014

Ardee St Marys Darren Clarke
After two rounds of games, Darren Clarke is the runaway top scorer in the Louth SFC.

The St Marys sharpshooter has already helped himself to a personal tally of 1-18 during the Deesiders' Group C victories over Geraldines and Kilkerley.

Lining out at full forward, he bagged twelve points in Stabannon on Saturday night as the Marys edged out Kilkerley by 1-16 to 2-9.

There are five players in joint second place - a full twelve points behind the Marys man!

Clarke's clubmate Ronan Carroll (0-9), O'Connells' Niall Conlon (1-6), Karl White of St Patricks (1-6), Cooley's Alan Page (3-0) and Shane Lennon of Kilkerley (2-3) seem to be battling it out for the runners-up spot.

Clarke also started last year's SFC in blistering form before picking up a season-ending injury. But he's flying at the moment and will be adding to his tally soon!
