This year's All-Ireland Poc Fada finals will take place on Saturday, August 2nd.

As is customary, the Bank Holiday weekend competition will be staged on Annaverna Mountain, with Martin Donnelly again sponsoring this unique national event.

The big-hitting stars of hurling and camogie from around the island will be present to pit their wits against each other - and nature - on what promises to be an exciting day for contestants and spectators alike.

Defending champion Brendan Cummins will be at the centre of attention as he bids to claim a record-breaking eighth senior title, while Waterford's Patricia Jackman is aiming to enhance her record haul of five camogie titles.

Tomorrow, the Poc Fada na hEireann competition will be launched at the Tourist Office in Market Square, Dundalk at 3pm.
