Burns enjoying the buzz

Ardee's Ryan Burns is favourite to win this race for possession against Our Lady's Secondary.
Ardee CS captain Ryan Burns says there's a good buzz in the school ahead of their All-Ireland final appearance.

On Saturday, Mark Gilsenan's charges come face to face with Mickey Ned O'Sullivan's Colaiste na Ghobnatan in the All-Ireland PPS 'C' colleges football final in Portlaoise and Hunterstown Rovers ace Burns - star performer for the Louth U21s this year - is enjoying the sense of occasion:

"There is a good buzz about the place," he notes in The Dundalk Democrat. "You are walking around in school and people are talking about it and the teachers are wishing you luck. So we are really looking forward to it.

"We know we can't get carried away and we are going to keep working hard. In fairness, we wouldn't be allowed to get carried away!

"I suppose, we haven't really been thinking about it being an All-Ireland final, which helps too."
